There are statutory guidelines with regard to who must hold a paediatric first aid qualification. There are two courses to choose from, the right course for you will depend on your situation.
Both courses have been designed in-line with the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) & are regulated qualifications, so you can book with us knowing the course will meet your legal requirements.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
You will receive a First Aid Manual & on successful completion of the course, you will receive an E-certificate which lasts for 3 years.
COURSE INFORMATION
NEW! COMBINED FIRST AID AT WORK & PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID
This course is ideal for those working in a setting that requires both first aiders & paediatric first aiders, such as, schools, sports clubs & other childcare settings. This course provides the opportunity to gain the necessary qualifications (level 3 award in First Aid at Work & Paediatric First Aid) whilst minimising your staffs’ absence from work. EMERGENCY PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework requires all early years providers in England to have at least one person who has a current & full paediatric first aid certificate on the premises & available at all times. It is the responsibility of the provider to risk assess their ratios of children & staff, as well as considering the layout of their premises & increasing their paediatric first aid provision accordingly to ensure there is a paediatric first aider available to respond promptly to any first aid emergencies.
