Target Audience

This Level 2 course is aimed at childcare practitioners working in Early Years settings including childminders and nursery staff.

Learning aims and content to

  • Provide important information regarding the safeguarding of children
  • Enable learners to respond confidently and appropriately to concerns about the safety and welfare of a child
  • Inform learners of their legal requirements when working within an early years and childcare context

It takes into account Government guidance and gives examples of best practice to support early years practitioners in relation to safeguarding and child protection duties and responsibilities.

Duration: 6 hours

Cost: £25 +vat per person

Assessment: Continuous self-checks throughout the course (100% pass mark required to progress to next lesson) and an end of course multiple-choice test with a 70% pass mark

Access: This online course can be completed on any PC or mobile device. Learners can study at their own pace and log in and out as often as they wish.

Features: Appeals to a broad range of learning styles with interactive quizzes and audio features. Allows learners to work at their own pace, testing their knowledge as they progress through the course.
